We believe that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God...there is one God, eternally existent in three persons : God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit... in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years...in the Blessed Hope...the rapture of the Church at Christ's coming...the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ...regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation...the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer...the baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it...in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life...in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.






	Our pioneer fathers, already acquainted with evangelical truth, experienced the Pentecostal outpouring in the city of Hamilton in 1912, and in Toronto and Montreal a few years later. They were led by the Holy Spirit to preach the full gospel of Jesus Christ to Italians in Canada. By the early 1920's, Italian speaking Pentecostal churches were established in several cities in Ontario and Quebec. God mightily accompanied the preaching of these dedicated and fearless men, with signs and wonders and many joined the faith, in spite of intense opposition. At an official gathering of these churches in 1944, a conference was held to promote co-operation in missionary endeavours, unity of doctrine and recognition of God given ministries. The Lord of the Harvest has enabled the Canadian Assemblies of God [formerly known as Italian Pentecostal Church of Canada], through more than four generations, to extend ministry in Canada, from Montreal to Vancouver. While maintaining the original vision to reach the Italian-speaking in Canada with the Good News of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, our movement presently ministers to all Canadians, regardless of ethnic background.


	The Canadian Assemblies of God has a distinctive ministry to the Italian community extending to all Canadians, regardless of language, nationality or race that proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit throughout Canada and the world based on the Biblical standard of ministry in the New Testament church.
